School of Jewish Studies

CBINT School of Jewish Studies Sponsoring the 2018 Winter Olympics Penny Challenge for Tzedakah!

CBINT Congregation is invited to participate! Come on up!  The Winter Olympics will take place from February 9 - February 25.  During that time frame, School of Jewish Studies classes will be participating in a Penny Challenge!  Collection jugs will be available in front of the school wing display case.  The money collected will be included in each classroom’s Tzedakah donation for the year.  The goal is for each class to get as close as possible to $20.18 during the challenge.  Here are the general rules:

1)      Pennies are positive. Each penny is +1

2)      Silver coins and paper money are negative. For this challenge nickels will be -1, dimes will be -2, quarters are -3 and dollar bills are -10. You will want to put this money in other class’ jugs.

Rabbi Herber/Hazzan Stein will also have a jug!  Be sure to check out the fact sheets (located in the display cases) about each Israeli athlete competing in 2018 Winter Olympics.  Let the games begin!

Will Rabbi Herber and Hazzan Stein be able reach $20.18? Your spare change will help determine the answer!!
